There isn’t anything “normal” about Normal Heights. It’s a widely diverse neighborhood. It’s one of the most highly desired communities in San Diego for its central location to Kensington, Mission Valley, and University Heights. The Normal Heights sign is located at Felton St. and Adams Ave. Every season offers a different event along the main strip of Adams Avenue. It offers wine tastings, live music, art for sale, and lots of local businesses featuring tastes of their amazing food!
Patrons all over San Diego frequent the one of the hottest bars, Polite Provisions, and other neighborhood mainstays such as Rosie O’Grady’s, El Zarape Mexican Cuisine, San Diego Cheesecake Company, and Tajima Ramen Bar.
This area is now considered a potential historic district, referred to as the Carteri Center after local resident Benjamin J. Carteri, who spurred business and residential development in the 1920s. Lots of quaint bungalows were developed by Carteri. Investors flock to this neighborhood for its central location and potential for investment.
